Therefore, it requires systematic and consistent theory-based research and literal criticism. In the present research, an attempt has been made to analyze Keyumarth myth based on the theory of structuralist mythology from Levi Strauss. Since enough and even more traditional literary criticism-related studies have been conducted on books such as Shahmnameh, and systematic and modern critiques have not received enough attention, a theory-based research considering literary criticisms approaches richly needs to be carried out in this area. The present study followed a qualitative design making use of a plenty of literary and documentary studies; i.e., first, the narratives related to Keyumarth myth were extracted from various books and then they were classified. Then, mythological units were extracted from among the narratives, arranged in a dichotomous manner and finally analyzed. The results of the present study revealed that the structure of Keyumarth myth is based on three dichotomies: holy/ unholy dichotomy, power/ power decline dichotomy, and nature/ culture dichotomy. اسطورۀ کیومرث یکی از اسطوره‌‌های مهم فرهنگ ایرانی است. این اسطوره ازنظر پژوهشی ظرفیت بسیاری دارد و آن را از جنبه‌های مختلف می‌توان بررسی کرد؛ از‌این‌رو به پژوهش‌‌های روش‌‌مند و منسجم بر مبنای نظریه و نقد ادبی نیازمند است. در این پژوهش کوشش می‌شود تا اسطورۀ کیومرث در <em>شاهنامه</em> برپایۀ نظریۀ ساختارگرایی اساطیری از لوی استروس تحلیل شود. بر متونی مانند <em>شاهنامه،</em> نقدهای روش‌‌مند و امروزی کمتر و نقدهای سنتی و ذوقی، بسیار انجام شده است؛ به همین سبب شایسته است در این زمینه پژوهشی بر مبنای نظریه‌‌ و با‌توجه‌به رویکردهای نقد ادبی انجام شود. روش تحقیق در این مقاله تحلیل کیفی و با‌تکیه‌بر مطالعات کتابخانه‌‌ای و اسنادی است. ابتدا روایت‌‌های مربوط به اسطورۀ کیومرث از متون مختلف استخراج و رده‌‌بندی خواهد شد. سپس یکان‌‌ها یا واحدهای اسطوره‌‌ای از میان آنها استخراج و به صورت تقابل‌‌های دوگانه در برابر هم چیده و تحلیل می‌شود. برپایة نتیجة این بررسی می‌توان دریافت ساختار اسطورۀ کیومرث مبتنی‌بر سه تقابل است: تقابل مقدس و نامقدس، قدرت و افول قدرت، طبیعت و فرهنگ. https://rpll.ui.ac.ir/article_22801_00de0ca6bfe170820f29ede1c7930da4.pdf
