Abstract

Ayazi Sarakhsi is one of the unknown poets of the 5th century Hijri, despite his ability as a poet, limited research has been done on him and his scattered verses have been neglected by researchers. Before this, Madbari has extracted 42 verses of Ayazi from various mostly late sources in the poets of Baydivan. And in other researches, new verses named after the same poet have been introduced; Although among the verses found; Only a few belonged to the copies before the 7th century. In this research, referring to the edition number 64 of the library of Mohammad Aref, Turkey, dated 687-688, 14 new ghazals and 17 scattered verses, including 145 verses of this poet, have been introduced and mentioned. Also, some of the characteristics of his sonnets have been expressed through the method of content analysis. The results show that Ayazi Sarakhsi was one of the influential poets in the course of ghazal in the 5th century and his type of imagery influenced the evolution of ghazal in this century. Also, he was influenced by the poems of Rudaki, Farrokhi, and Elani and played an effective role in characterizing the poem. Also, based on the available information, it seems that Ayazi was born in the beginning of the fifth century and there are signs of his life until the beginning of the fourth century of this century.
