The emergence of various roles with multiple themes has been obvious in visual arts since long ago. This artistic effect is not related to a specific region and has been different depending on the climate and culture; Therefore, there are many methods and platforms for this industry. Musical instruments are decorated with various images in urban music and the regions of Iran place musical instruments among the accessories of this artistic style.
In the 6th century AH on The bank of Aras river region which was The Kingdom of Sharvan kings for centuries, Khaqani Sharvani, who was a poet and musicologist, has spoken about the special role of the Daf, which is the sign of domestic and wild animals in hunting situations. This article is based on the descriptive-analytical method and the use of library studies in order to achieve the reason of depicting animals on the instrument of the Daf. A series of reasons are involved in this matter, and therefore, a definitive and single reason cannot be known for this method; However, in order to the history of such work among the shamans of Siberia and the Caucasus, as well as Khaqani Sharvani's attention to the association of the Daf with the hunting grounds of the kings of Sharvan, it is clearer and more telling than all the reasons that can be mentioned.
